We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Oru Space, a leading figure in coworking, wellbeing, and community connection, located on Sutton High Street. This partnership marks a significant milestone for us at Just a Guy CIC as we aim to extend our empowering workshops to the vibrant area of Sutton, offering young people a nurturing environment to learn, grow, and connect.
Oru Space has revitalised the former BHS building into a dynamic hub for business, leisure, and wellness. Their facility features a diverse array of spaces, including a coworking area, a restaurant, wellness studios, and an event space. They are also developing a rooftop garden, which, while not yet available, is anticipated to open in the summer, creating a green refuge in the heart of Sutton.
Lawrence Tijjani, our founder and a Sutton local, shares his enthusiasm for this collaboration: “Bringing the work of Just a Guy CIC to my doorstep and serving the young people of Sutton is incredibly important to me. It’s vital that young people have spaces where they feel they belong, and Oru Space embodies this, especially here in Sutton. We’re looking forward to hosting events and workshops that will truly make a difference in the lives of local young people.”
This partnership underlines our commitment to creating inclusive and inspiring spaces for our community. Oru Space’s dedication to fostering a supportive ecosystem aligns perfectly with our vision, enhancing our ability to support young people more effectively.
We’re humbled to have the opportunity to work with Just a Guy, & Lawrence. We need to get young marginalised people inspired. And we have the environment and operations to do just that, so the fit is brilliant. Spaces shouldn’t be limiting, they can serve as expansive environments, especially for young minds that are naturally curious and explorative.
We can’t wait to get started and look forward to impacting so many young people in the Sutton area.
