What does Just A Guy do?

Founder Lawrence Tijjani, created JAG originally as a blog after suffering a severe epileptic seizure that affected his ability to walk. His honest words and inspiration in the face of adversity have resonated with people. As a result, JAG has grown beyond a blog to vent frustrations into a full social enterprise that is committed to providing young people with access to networks of advice, support and mentoring so that they are better equipped to drive their own social mobility.

JAG’s impressive projects to date include:

Remote career fairs during the pandemic
○ Connecting professionals from a range of sectors to UK secondary students
The Lighthouse Project in partnership with Google EMEA
○ Soft skills mentorship curriculum for Afro/Caribbean students delivered by Google employees
Workshops, mentoring and assemblies
